QuiltCon brought me to Austin. I had a wonderful time both in and outside of the Conference. It will take me a few days to share what I want to say about the experience. A few highlights include the other attendees, the lectures, the classes, and the quilts. Here is a tiny sampling.
A few fellow attendees…
I also met Pat Sloan for the first time in real life, my original encounters with Pat were in Second Life when she started up the Quilters in SL Group in 2007.
Lecturers such as David Butler, Amy Butler and Yoshiko Jinzenji…
The Best in Show Quilt, “Double Edged Love”, by Victoria Findlay Wolfe…
And a dyeing fabric with wax resist class…
with Malka Dubrawsky.
Oh, and let’s not forget the food…
or a little intrigue
along with a taste of the 80s.

You are right, Sharleen. But it is back to reality today.
