I love Malka Dubrawsky‘s fabric, both her hand dyes and her fabric lines.  I bought a jelly roll of her fabric, A Stitch in Color.

I just wanted to use the fabric, I was not especially interested in a challenge.  So I sewed the strips together end to end into a simple quilt using the 50 yard dash method (also called jelly roll race quilt.)  I love the results.

I purchased extra yardage from the same fabric line for the border, binding and backing.

I thought about what to name the quilt. To me the vibrant colors felt like summer time and fun and so the name given to this quilt is “Good Day, Sunshine.”
